Texas Rose Muddler - Turrall - MU05
Muddler Minnows are the orginal surface lure. They work on stillwaters and reservoirs fished fast on a floating line, creating a disturbance in the surface layer which often results in agressive takes and big bow waves. On rivers they can be fished slightly slower so as to create a skating v shaped disturbance, this style of fishing will catch not only trout but salmon ( particularly Grilse) and Sea Trout. The muddler minnows are excellent night surface patterns for Sea Trout and very good as top dropper flies for lough salmon fishing. the Texas Rose is a very good grilse fly fished through faster streamy water.
