Corixa pattern is essential in any stillwater/reservoir fly box as corixa are an essential part of the stillwater trout natural diet and at certain times the fish turn onto them in large numbers. Then fished slow or with a slow jerky retreive the fly is deadly and even if the fish are not feeding hard on corxia few trout will let one swim by without eating it! Carp also feed on corixa making the pattern a useful carp fly.
